Charlotte de Witte: The Realm Tour - A Visual Tribute
The Realm Tour is a deeply personal passion project inspired by the artist who has shaped my creative world the most: Charlotte de Witte. With the announcement of her debut album, I imagined a 9-city tour brought to life through a conceptual poster series - each one designed to reflect the unique essence of its location while honoring Charlotte’s bold, minimalist aesthetic.
This project merges my own visual language with generative AI, using a custom-developed style I call Koud - Flemish for “cold.” While often seen as distant, I see coldness as synonymous with stillness, and this series explores that tension between restraint and power.
Over 500 AI-generated images were created in Midjourney to perfect the aesthetic which is one that embraces the seductive strength of the female form, motion through blur, and simplicity through type. The tagline, “There’s nothing in the world which compares to this,” is taken from one of my favorite tracks by Charlotte, Closer - a fitting anchor for a project born entirely from admiration and sound.
