Corpus: A Study of Form, Fluidity, and Transformation

Charlotte de Witte has been a driving force in my creative exploration, shaping the way I approach visual storytelling and sensory experiences. Her music which is raw, hypnotic, and immersive embodies a feeling that transcends reality, dissolving the boundaries between body and sound. Pria, in particular, a song that evokes an ethereal movement, where the body no longer exists as a rigid form but instead becomes fluid, weightless, and untethered from its soul. This editorial concept reflects that sensation, embracing hyperrealism while allowing elements to dissolve, distort, and merge. Like the relentless rhythm of techno, these images capture a sense of surrender - a state where form and motion exist in a perpetual, entrancing loop.

The visual language of Corpus mirrors the experience of submersion, where water becomes both a sculptor and a force of release. The verbiage, a poem, was carefully articulated and written to evoke such feeling and the language chosen to be represented is Flemish, where de Witte is from so it's important to show respect for the culture. Just as techno music pulls you deeper into its current, these images depict bodies letting go, immersed in liquid landscapes that blur the line between physical and ephemeral. Created through AI machine learning, the series achieves an uncanny realism: textured skin, refracted light, and suspended droplets which feel tactile yet dreamlike. Through Midjourney, I was able to replicate the feeling of losing oneself to sound, letting the rhythm take over, much like surrendering to an underwater current. Corpus is an invitation to experience presence differently - to feel weightless, fluid, and momentarily untethered from reality.
